Celebrating 12 years as
a Medicare Specialist October 2020

Theresa Cangemi, Medicare Specialist, Independent Agent, and Consultant

With an extensive background and history in the insurance industry, Theresa Cangemi started Medicare Made Simple in 2008 in order to help the Medicare-eligible population understand the many facets of Medicare. Theresa provides one-on-one personal service, educating clients to help them choose the right Medicare plan for them. New York State licensed, Theresa is well-equipped to help clients navigate Medicare plans, details, costs, penalties, and other confusing aspects of Medicare choices in a non-threatening, sharing, and informative person-to-person process.

With so much constantly changing information out there, picking a total Medicare package can be intimidating. The plan should fit you: where you are now and where you will be in the future. It is very important to consider how a plan is comprised and to choose a plan that will fit your healthcare needs. The Annual Enrollment Period allows Medicare eligibles to change their Medicare plan, if needed. Theresa Cangemi can help you pick the right Medicare plan for you.

Theresa is also called upon to provide Medicare seminars to non-profit agencies (employees and their clients), at senior centers and libraries, and she teaches at OCM BOCES, Natur-Tyme (community room),  and SUNY IT (MVILR division).  She is also available to be hired as a key-note speaker.

Theresa is licensed by the New York State Insurance Department* to consult and ENROLL clients into insurance plans in the following categories:

  • Medicare Insurance:
    • Medicare Advantage (or Part C)
    • Medicare Supplement (or Medigap)
    • Prescription Drug plans (or Part D)
  • Life Insurance
  • Final Expense Insurance
  • Long Term Care Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Group (Employee) Voluntary Products
  • Fixed Annuities
  • Travel Insurance Coverage

Theresa is not a Medicare Specialist for one specific insurance company. Rather, she is a licensed independent agent/broker appointed by several insurance companies to offer their insurance plans. Consultations are given at no charge. She earns a commission based on a client’s enrollment in any of the insurance plans listed above, which is paid by the carrier and not the client.
